License

The source repository uses the Eidovara Source-Available Evaluation License. That is not an OSI open-source license and is not MIT, Apache, or GPL. Installation or access does not transfer ownership. Adults 18+ only. Read the exact LICENSE, TERMS, NOTICE, OWNERSHIP, and AGE statement included with each release before use or redistribution.

What Eidovara does not own

Electron, Chromium, Node.js, Microsoft Windows, Wikipedia/Wikimedia content, user-created files, and other third-party software, services, models, marks, and media remain their owners' property. Overbroad claims would weaken the first-party record. A GitHub commit is not a court judgment. GitHub's terms still allow viewing and forking through GitHub. Users own their own content.

Marks and third parties

Eidovara™ and Soul Consciousness Studios™ are claimed unregistered marks. Do not use a registered-mark symbol unless registration issues. Enhancement of trademark protection requires a trademark attorney and a USPTO filing; knockout internet search is not clearance. Electron, Chromium, Node.js, Windows, GitHub, OBS, Twitch, Spotify, YouTube, DirectX, NVIDIA, Cloudflare, Apple, and payment-provider names belong to their respective owners. Reference does not imply sponsorship or affiliation. Eidovara is not an iOS, iPhone, or Apple product and does not require licensed SF Pro fonts. Microsoft Windows is the official advertised platform; Microsoft does not sponsor Eidovara.

Inbound code

Pull requests are not accepted until a privately executed written assignment. The contributor-assignment file in the repository is an unsigned template only. Publishing that template does not mean unknown contributors have assigned rights.

Models, voices, avatars, and media

v0.18.3 does not bundle neural TTS, VRM, or MakeHuman assets. Playback uses voices already installed in Windows. User-selected local media and Wikipedia/Wikimedia sources remain under their own licenses. YouTube and Spotify buttons open official HTTPS searches and do not rip streams. Every imported model and asset would require its own license review. Voice cloning requires the speaker's permission; celebrity likenesses, protected characters, and unlicensed media are not supplied.

What this license may enhance vs what stays off

The source-available evaluation license plus third-party notices cover the current Windows alpha: Electron/Chromium notices, explicit Wikipedia/Wikimedia research, pasted HTTPS providers, Premium Brave with a user key, GitHub update checks, optional Worker /health, /v1/config, /v1/status, and website-helper /v1/assist, and Spotify/YouTube search links. They do not grant rights to enable neural TTS, VRM, OBS websocket control, or live payments. Official installers remain Authenticode-unsigned (Eidovara-0.18.3-Windows-x64-Setup.exe, about 101.3 MiB). Payments stay fail-closed. No patent, registered-mark, or PCI-DSS certification is claimed. Adults 18+.
